Apparently there were 10 junior and 10 senior pre-production engines built with “maximum port timing” as the first test batch of CNC barrels. I believe they were engine numbers 6500 to 6520, there are few of these left that have caused some cynicism as they are suppose ably better than anything else.

I would be interested to know if this is true as we have one of those engine numbers but it does not have the maximum timing barrel on it now.
