I find it most ammusing that Tal-ko quoted a maximum exhaust port measurement of 21.15mm, then turn around and say the old gauge is superceded by a new one because no cylinder has ever been manufactured that was anywhere near that maximum port height and anything over 21.06mm is now outside specification and must be measured with a new gauge.

The inlet port is also under review now and will doubtless throw another spanner in the works and induce a further stampede by owners of TKM engines who wish to race under the Tal-ko regs, to get those measurements clarified.

So it's always been wrong then?

Why the hell state a maximum in the first place if you can't ever attain it?

They should have quoted a lower maximum previously.

They've never been the most adept bunch at expressing themselves or their regs and their latest news release is no improvement.

They're their own victims of their own incompetence and shouldn't be bleating so loudly or stamping their feet indignantly and attempting to get their other restrictions implemented on him.

I'm not supporting cheating but get it right.
