I thought the Tal-Ko statement was badly worded. They say that the guy was very open about what he was doing and then say they havenamed the guilty party. If he was that `open' about it then I would have expected at least some of his customers knew what they were buying - but they don't get named.

"We are concerned that Mr Scothern saw nothing wrong in deliberate cheating and even promoted such on his business cards together with the promise of confidentiality. We promised to name the guilty party and we have done so."

Building an engine that does not met the regulations for MSA racing is not in itself cheating. Are the regulations the same in IKR or if you just want a quicker engine for having fun on open test days.

Cheating only happens when you sign on one of these engines for an MSA race. Tough luck on anyone who knew nothing about what had been done to the engine but Tal-Ko seem to be suggesting that they would be in the minority.
