We also had some very memorable times at fulbeck inc racing against lucas in minimax whom we still rate as a driver whom really stands out. Joe broke the lap record earlier in the same year lucas broke it again. We loved a tussle with lucas and needed the wet to stand a chance against lucas as joe was very good in the wet. I remember when a top race team turned up at a wet meeting and came nowhere. Which was not reported in the press but their previous weekends sucess was, made us smile! We loved the circuit a real drivers circuit where megabucks dont always win. We had exactly the same issue with kerbs and broke our chassis, the replacement was never quite the same and we couldnt afford another so that was us with karting. The issue was in particular the entry to the second chicance couls save a tenth or two if you collected the kerb, punishing the chassis but if you didnt you wouldnt win. Drop the kerbs so you can hit them and many would come back. I know of one other front runner whom lost a major final with a broken chassis and wrecked their championship! That all said this old fat boy might have a go in 177 non msa at fulbeck, but ill be lucky to make it round let alone worrying about hitting kerbs!!! Fulbeck please listen to the people who know and more will be back to your wonderful historic circuit in contrast to the soleless neighbour you have!
