MBKC are pleased to announce young MSA novice cadet driver Ben Slater has been nominated as the MBKC/MSA Cadet Scholarship driver. After waiting since February !!! , the club finally took delivery of the brand new John Mills supplied chassis and engine this week.. Ben will be out at MBKC's next meeting on he weekend of the 26th and 27th of this month. The MBKC Acadamy (initially starting with the cadet class )which started in Feb, is going from strength to strength with 9 new members 5 now with their own equipment and 4 on Acadamy karts. The Acadamy karts are available for newcomers to arrive and try drive a cadet kart during the SAT test day lunch break for £10, initially they will be on Comer engined karts,but can advance onto IAME engines after gaining more experience and will be able to take part in Acadamy driver only test sessions during the SAT test days. The club is trying to help newcomer dads/lads/ mums /daughters through the daunting initial stages of finding out about and getting started in karting. Multiple Kart Championship winning tutors are available,a factory approved IAME engine builder,Acadamy dedicated Awnings and tools etc,assistance with equipment from Zip N.West's Ian Shaw,and the Acadamy has started sourcing good ,quality pre owned equipment for new comers combined with help from club members and officials.
