rotation is a safety aspect, the reason F1 had failing tyres last year was that teams were fitting tyres backwards to get more life out of worn tyres causing massive failures. our tyres are manufactured the using the same process so would be subject to the same failures if miss used hence the rotation rule in rotax classes.
