I wish X30 all the best but lets not forget that there have been loads of other classes introduced to Karting (obviously Max itself) that all promised pretty much the same equal equipment level playing field etc but this will never truly happen.

In any form of motorsport there will always be someone with more cash than you who will be able to buy those little tweeks, test lots of components and to find the best combinations and this is how its always been and always will be.

Pretty soon as more move drivers move over we will start to see the usual people at the front of grids and then we will start hearing about special this, tweeked that, accusations of cheating etc etc. Anyone who is running around mid grid in a max at club meetings who thinks they will move to X30 and suddenly be right at the front because its just their engine that's holding them back is somewhat delusional it will be just as tough, all that will happen is senior grids will dilute further.

Either way im fairly sure in a couple of years time something else will rock up and be championed as re-inventing the wheel giving level performance and sensible costs etc and everyone will have forgotten about this thread and this can all begin again.....

Maybe im getting old and cynical but time will tell! :)
