Let’s just be clear on this so as not to mislead anyone.

In the example suggested if one stub is bent up by 3mm and the other bent down by 3mm then yes, it would show with lasers as one wheel with increased positive camber, and the other with increased negative camber, relative to their original positions.

The precise reading of how much each front corner was adrift could not be relied upon because the two datum would have indeed changed. However, lasers would clearly show that something was seriously amiss.
