I do not believe that it is in a laser’s inherent nature to mislead anyone.

To comprehend measurement it is important to have an appropriate understanding of the measuring device, its application, and its limitations. This is true whether it’s a laser, or a steel rule. It is possible to get confused using either of them blindly.

I find lasers are useful to quickly assess if there might be a front end geometry issue following a front end bump, where there is no obvious visible damage and the front and rear appear to be in line. Particularly useful in between races when pushed for time
