Get to your local tracks and ask the questions there. Don't just buy a kart as they may not run that class at your local track. Read all the Karts and Karting information on this site. Read the abkc web site. Go on to MSA.org and go to the getting started section, it will tell you most that you need to know.

Best of all is the first tip. Go to your track and ask. Most kartes are very friendly and will only be too happy to help.
