LM grease is fine.

You can grease the bearing, slide it onto the crank, slide the drum onto the bearing.

Take the drum and the bearing back off, remove any excess grease from the crank and the backplate and then clean the inside of the clutch drum.

Reassemble the bearing and the drum and hopefully this will reduce the amount of excess grease in the clutch.

I cant remember whether there is an o ring option for the old style clutch or not.
