Nicky, I'm not certain the criticism of Tal-Ko is entirely fair. The initiative to make the championship happen might have come from drivers, but my first approach to Tal-Ko was greeted really positively, and they continued to be really supportive while the idea turned from an idea to a reality. You would be amazed at the commitment they have had to put into making this a reality, and I for one appreciate it.
If we want the promotional aspect of the northern club championship to be as good as the one in the midlands, someone is going to have to get photos and race reports to TKM after each round. Grahame Butterworth wasn't able to get to the Wombwell round, and as the season progresses he is likely to have less time available rather than more. The best people to promote this championship are the people involved in it, and I am sure any ammunition we can give Tal-Ko to help promote it will be well used.
Not so much a North-South divide, more that we are the people here, and if anyone should be shouting about how good it is should be us.
Anyone heard anything about Richard Forber? I emailed SYKC to find out what happened when he got to hospital, but haven't heard anything back yet. Ironic that the two drivers involved in that were two of the sensible ones after some of the antics earlier in the day.
