Once again taken totally out of context. but I'm glad people can see through charters such as yourself and PaulM-Rotax.

I stated I added people i knew first and then openly invited drivers to join. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO!!! I cannot add/invite people i don't know can I? This is not just for friends of Andrew Rees-Reynolds this is for all drivers. Its how networking happens. Im using a free tool to do a job.

As Chris-TKM states maybe you should ask why its closed to the ABKC and MSA. The reasons are quite simple. Theres a whole world of karting outside of these organisations. Why would I want to be associated to organisations that don't react quick enough and have declining relevance, also i need to protect the British Kart Drivers Association members from any repercussions of any voting or discussions taking place which could effect them enjoying their Karting if they are a license holder. ( A BIT LIKE THE ABKC SHOULD HAVE PROTECTED THE CLUBS WISHING TO RUN/INCLUDE THE MAX SERIES) etc.

Organisations/ and businesses who are interested in the market are welcome to put forward questions to the British Kart Drivers Association and we will ask the members, who can quickly and easily put their opinion across with a touch of the button (NO need to meet in the middle of the country mid week to do this to a very small minority. I can midweek tap into the opinions of a far greater audience and get instant feedback....HOW GREAT IS THAT!! :-)

this is 2014 not 2004 The world has changed so much in 10 years, that what worked then doesn't work now.
Its not costing us anything to do this. just my time, which I'm happy to give as i Love karting and want to see people ENJOY it and not leave the sport feeling ripped off and disappointed and not having fun because someone somewhere is costing them unnecessary money through stupid regulation.

Ill give you an example.
Why do you have to buy a rotax rad for 180+vat when you could fit another one for Ł75 + vat.... The ABKC/MSA let this sort of thing happen.... As customers we have a choice and they are choosing the IKR route if money is tight! So surely the MSA should relax the barriers to entry and associated cost if they are really interested in Karters, and do it now! Not next year not in 2017 do it NOW!, Traders will still make money and if you want to race in an official rotax series (Euromax) you may well have to adhere to their rules. but for your normal club driver they really don't care to much if matey is running a non genuine radiator or starter motor, we just want to race for reasonable money, and have a little bit of choice where we spend our money.

They have allowed the commercial interests to run the classes to much and they never stopped this happening by doing what a regulatory body should do and stop people monopolising! and for that reason they for me lack relevance and have little interest in serving the customers...Or maybe if I'm being a bit fairer they are poorly Advised and don't take a step back and look at the whole picture as i do think some have their heart in the right place.

Karting can easily stand alone. Its not a stepping stone to Cars....Its not for wannabe F1 drivers....its about the dads and lads and moms and girls that want to do a bit of racing in a controlled safe(isn) environment then go back to work/school on the monday. But unfortunately they seem to think we all want to be Professionals......
Why do i need a flipping medical.. if i have a driving licence surely thats good enough to drive around a little kart track in a safe environment at 50-60mph. Its good enough to drive a 1000bhp Lambo on a residential road in the rain with oncoming traffic and pedestrians walking about with no safety barriers!

As chris-TKM rightly gets. we need to build from the bottom up. not from the top down.
his doing his bit for karting and trying his best to get things set up and help Llandow do IKR events. Get people racing and into the sport. Lets give these people a platform to build something.Its early days but I'm not giving up on this. and we will see where it leads!
