Thanks for the suggestions Andy

I'll give them a try...I forgot to mention that we'd had the engine rebuilt and dyno'd around 3hrs ago, but ended up having to go quite a bit richer than dyno settings to keep temperature down last outing. Plug still looked quite lean even after going richer on carb. Had rebuilt carb 2 races ago, pop off etc still looks OK.

I'd already checked the ring which seems fine but will need to check if seals were changed during build (I had assumed this to be the case but will confirm withat the weekend) as might explain things if we're still running lean
