Hi all, I’ve started this thread just to see how much interest there would be in starting a OEKC North series. For those who don’t know already the current OEKC series is mostly based around southern tracks with Whilton Mill being the most northern. It’s a great series with good grids and great racing. Its 4.5hrs long with 30min practice and 15min qualy, so theres a huge amount of seat time compared to your regular sprint event. It really does push the boundaries in terms of kart prep, tactics, and driver skill and endurance, so if your looking for something a bit different it could be for you. The north series would run in conjunction with the southern series. Possible tracks could include - 3 sisters, Teesside Autodrome, Warden Law and Tattershall and the most southern track being Whilton Mill. Whilton Mill could be the common circuit for both series with the possibility of a huge grid and a great battle between north and south series! Currently the majority of the grid is made up of rotax max, but most classes of karts can enter the series. Also within the series its divided into two categories, pro for the works/expert teams and clubman for the budget/privateer teams. So there’s always someone to race.
If there’s a good enough response maybe a north series could happen. Please give some feedback if you’re interested or ask a question.
