Sruggling with an evil handling Snr Max, and have stripped it down and will get it jigged, but a few questions if anyone can advise.

The steering column bottom bearing has a lot of up and down play in it, maybe 2mm, but no side play. Is this normal, or better off with a new one? Probably only a £5, but would like to know so I don't chase non existent problems.

I'll thoroughly clean the bare frame and look for cracks at welds, etc. Any tips for where they might go? Kart was chewing sprockets last time out, even when. new chain and sprocket were fitted and adjusted properly i.e aligned and slack set properly, hence I think the frame is flexing and possibly cracked.

Anyone got an unused Racer EVR bare frame kicking around? No reconditioned ones, as I'd just be back tomwondering if I've got a square frame. Will place a wanted advert anyway.

Also looking for someone who can jig the chassis within 100 miles or so of Aberdeen to avoid postage hassle..
