Just looked at GYG's calender and it looks like all the rounds for there championship have been cancelled. I think there would be an opportunity to hold races prior to the Super 1 meetings as this could raise some decent entries.
Which club is behind this decision - are MBKC calling the shots or is it DKC
The general consensus about GYG appears to be that people really enjoy the track. And in previous threads about favourite tracks it came out possibly on top. From my point of view this is a track that I love to race at.
The catchment area for GYG in terms of population is not massive so the club has to work harder than others to keep the bread and butter club members. An example of not engaging with members is last years championship standings we still do not know the final positions and whether my driver is entitled to a trophy.
Unfortunate as it is, our diary for this year did not include GYG because of what happened last year. We needed to be relatively certain that the championship we are aiming for would run for all the rounds.
I think this uncertainty about what will happen to the rounds is why the entries are at a level where they are not economically feasible to run
