We had the sam problem 1st time out...

Replaced with 'upgraded' part.
However, I did remove it and inspect it this W/E and the drum already shows some sign of wear. I guess that I will be adding another to the spares box soon !

I would also put money on the fact that the recoil starter was designed by the same person that designed the chain guard. It is a bit rich to have to take a hacksaw to a brand new engine.

Does anyone else find that it is a pain getting the front of the chain on with this guard ?
