We don't 'G Test karts' but we do regularly take in excess of 3g. Probably, up to once per lap (not 'cornering G' but 'shock G' on kerbs etc.). You are quoting 'one off' events in the microlight.

Are you certain about 9g on a microlight? My son is a Typhoon pilot and that's WELL up into their top range and I think the Typhoon is a trifle.... more robust.... than a Microlight! All the PDF files I can find list Microlights with Normal Limits of (around) -2 to +4g

When one of my son's colleagues delivered +9 g on landing to a Grobs trainer.... it was written off... even though it showed zero damage! The photos of the G gauge were amusing, though!
