You really will struggle to beat a new carb that holds pressure well.

We have a range of carbs in the team and are happy to use 820's or new recent batched carbs. In fact I prefer to use a new carb as the needle seats are fantastic on them, little chance of going down if your clean with your fuel.

This is the biggest advantage, preventative maintenance and practice. Clean fuel is a must, otherwise it doesn't matter how good or expensive the carb is/was.
