peak power is not really important in direct drive karting, its more about the spread and usability of the power delivery...

pretty much most of the 08s Ive ever test were along way off, like 4 to 5 tenths away from our best stuff at the time, as I said paper weights at best, but I have seen the odd good one!

there have been some batches where there was a higher percentage of good ones! its really difficult to quantify, but to be honest taking out the complete dogs and odd exceptional one you are probably looking at 1 to 2 tenths max... Rotax do a good job of keeping it pretty level for a mass produced engine.
