That's not how 'Octane Rating' works. We've been through this SO many times before.....!

Effectively, 'octane' is an additive which is designed to let the engine run at a higher compression without the engine 'pinking' ('knocking', suffering 'pre-detonation', etc., etc.). It is NOT (repeat, NOT) a power-rating of the fuel!

If you find that your engine is 'pinking' on a lower Octane rated fuel, then you SHOULD run a higher Octane fuel (so long as it's within legal limits). Does your KART engine 'pink' when more oil is added? Does your KART engine 'pink' when you use a LOWER octane fuel? Really?
