Hi Gaz can you give us anymore information...
You say you have checked the pop off where in the carb have you done this fuel inlet or needle and seat.
Was the motor starting before you rebuilt the carb are you positive you have rebuilt the carb correctly and is it the first time you have done this.
Blown the fuel through the fuel line into the carb without any major air bubbles.
When you try to start it with the air box off and choke the carb with your hand is your hand getting a little wet with fuel.
Settings on your carb are they marked on if not try a base setting of 60/60.
When you had the carb off are you sure you put the engine gaskets back the correct way up.
Have you removed the plug from the motor and tried holding the plug against the exhaust to see if you have a spark.
The last time you were out was it raining and has the motor been kept in the garage since.
Should keep you going for a bit.
