The replies have been fantastic so thanks everyone. Longest thread in a while.

Question is how do we move forward? Is it time to setup an Indi-Kart scheme that offers 'protection' similar to that of the MSA but lets say on a more sensible and reasonable level? Also not sure what type of 'protection' I actually mean.

Its obvious that stumbling blocks are helmets, medicals, licence pack costs, ARKs costs (surely ARKs should be held on club weekends on a Sat or Sun lunch or as part of the day where possible to include these newcomers in the arena straight away.

What do we want with helmets, anything sensible allowed? Question is why did the MSA change the ruling on helmets? Maybe they should be providing us customers with that information.

Medicals... I presume this is driven by insurance somehow? Does anyone know the score here?

I feel if we can discuss direction now then maybe we can sustain our sports numbers and reduce its decline, maybe even start to look at increasing numbers?

I do feel statements from the MSA, clubs and organisers would be of a benefit. We aren't trying to catch anyone out and if there is a way we can all work together then surely it is for the benefit of the customers and organisations.
