The smaller disc is ideal for lighter drivers plus it sits above the chassis rails so is very difficult to damage. But If your constantly suffering from locking up problems, you'll need to drop the actuator linkage down from the top/ middle hole to the bottom on the pedal, the driver will then have to use more pressure on the pedal to lock the brakes.
