There is another variation that should be taken into account.
The original plastic gears did require 50cc of oil, then with the introduction of the new clutch the original steel gears were introduced and Rotax provided a sticker for the gear case reminding you to amend the oil level to 100cc. However the original steel gears were quite thin and the later steel gears, which are current spec are fatter and only require around 70cc of oil, by filling motors equipped with the later gears with any more than 70cc will result in an overfill.
