It depends on whether you have the plastic or steel gears for the balance shaft. The plasic gears called for 100ml of oil, the steel gears run about half of that. For the amount of hassle, I'd drain it down and add the correct amount so you know you're safe.

Pulling the side off, cleaning out with brake clean and replacing the gasket isn't a big job so it might be worth inspecting the gears etc for peace of mind.
