Firstly, try a new plug if you haven't already.

Then, try unscrewing the HT cap,cut back the HT lead 5mm and then see if the HT lead will spark againt the cylinder head. If you get a spark refit the HT cap and try again with a spark plug.

If still no spark see if you can borrow a coil and try that. If that is not possible measure the resistance accross the coil and ask anyone else with a BT 82 PVL if you can measure their resistance and see how it compares or post your readings and ask someone on here to advise on you findings.
