I am with you rjbcar. I've not had much experience with Rotax leisure engines but have had HUNDREDS of car engines with thermostats stuck CLOSED.

In the old days, I can remember many 'happy' hours with thermostats in saucepan of water with thermometer checking the opening temp..... and then finding they never DID open! Everything is SO cheap nowadays, it's cheaper to stick a new one in and see if the problem goes away (on cars, of course)!
