Also had this problem last weekend with a Rotax - would only run for 10-15 seconds on the stand then cut out - no spark, then would suddenly spark again.
Having been through the HT lead, plug coil etc, discovered that it was the on/off switch!
Problem probably related to it all getting soaked the week before......
