I had the hortsmann clutch on my Tkm and did 2 full seasons without much wear on the friction dist. I had to replace the front sprocket/bell housing a couple of times due to the chain being slightly out of allignment wearing the teeth though. The advantage of dd in that respect Is the front sprockets are only a few quid to replace where as the bell housing is about 50 quid.

All in all though very good and reliable...I always preferred the clutch to dd because you can get out of trouble if you need to and I preferred the feel of the engine....not everyone's taste though
