Danny,

I have to say as an owner of 4 Junior TAG engines that I almost entirely agree with Attack 2001 and Cburton.

The concept of the Talko TaG was great. i.e. Bring the BT-82 into the 21st Century. Turn up on your own and start it on your own. Gone are the days when Dads and Marshalls got back injuries from the Direct Drives. Gone are the days when someone had to valiantly run halfway round the track heavy starter in hand to get you going again. Etce etc etc.

Unfortunately Talko did an appauling job introducing it in two respects.

(1) They failed to make it significantly more powerful than the DD or Clutch Engines.(i.e. If it was quicker than the DD everybody would swap to it).

(2) The reliability, electric, starters etc etc etc, is shocking.

So in short, if you can afford it move over to Rotax.
