Yep-think I'll probably be looking for another bare engine. I assume the conrod will be shot, the piston and bore had a deep groove in them as well, so the rebuild cost probably more than a decent second hand unit. Left if with Dave at Modus for now-he may have a green top to sell but would prefer to stick with blue-the engine that's gone is really meant to be for my son, as a spare-just thought I'd have a bit of fun too!
