Paul...... I was well aware that water is used as a collant...... however, look closely at Rendall's post which contains the words.... "Water not coolant". I just continued to use his wording.

Most Antifreeze is also a 'coolant additive' too. However, one of it's main properties is it's anti corrosion benefits which it 'delivers' to water. You also pointed out how most antifreeze also reduced the DYNAMIC viscosity. Lastly, it can also RAISE the boiling point of the coolant mixture.

With all these benefits, I was trying to find out why Rendall thought that a coolant mix would NOT be as 'good' as water. He may know of some adverse reaction in a Rotax to some 'coolant' mixtures and I was keen to find out.

I asked him because he clearly has some reason for saying so. I did NOT ask you as you thought that 65 degrees was the 'optimum'....... amazing......and you CLAIM to RACE Rotax.........?
