bizarrly enough the only way i can see a way out of this is an arrive and drive championship.

imagine an s1 s/ class. identical chassis and engines, run by the manufacturer, pay 5k at the start of the season and 5k half way through, it covers hire of the chassis and engine for the year, tyres etc.

the chassis and engines are rotated at random each meeting between drivers.

that way everyone has the same chassis and engines, same amount of tyres and money is taken out of the equation.
