The problem is, support has declined significantly since the heyday of TKM and is continuing to. There are many circuits around the UK where TKM is no longer present and many more where only a handful of entries register. Whether its technically better or worse is irrelevant as drivers can only hone racecraft in karts they can race... and in the case of many club racers, the only viable option is Rotax. Driving a Max is different to driving a TKM is different to driving a 100cc... but none of this matters. They're still 'class 1' karts and a good driver will show they're mettle regardless.
