Don't use it.

It isn't an engine stop and if you wish to keep it on the kart it should only be used for chain adjustment when the clamps are slackened off. It should then be backed off the engine mount by at least 5mm. (We havn't used one for at least 10 years)

If it is tightened up against the engine mount it will transfer vibrations to the bearing carrier mount and, when the chassis flexes, it will apply load again to the same mount. Both of these will cause the weld/chassis to crack - usually at the forward edge of the bearing carrier mount.
