Found a chewed up oil seal lip pressure spring in the top of the radiator after a session at PF today.
I am imagining it is the water pump shaft seal spring that has come off the seal for some reason, been pulped by the water pump, carried up through the barrel waterway by the water flow, to be dumped in the top of the rad.
Anyone offer a different possibility? (It def was not there an hour before)
What do I need to do now? - Rebuild and reseal or is it possible to replace water pump rotor and seals without a crankcase split?
Thanks.
