I Have read most of this thread with some amusement. The point I think Paul is missing is that John's excellent software is in some way similar to a watch that has been set in correctly in that such a watch will NEVER tell you the correct time. Even a watch that has stopped is spot on twice a day!
Unless you put in the effort to set the software via its parameters your 'watch' will always be that bit out, whereas a simple guess may well be correct on an odd occasion.
However set the numbers using testing first then you can be sure you will optimise the fueling whatever the conditions.
