When in cadets we were given advice to use lower and higher oil content at different circuits but never found anything noticeable. I'm sure there is a critical point in both directions but without the aid of many dyno runs it would be very difficult to find. Probably a dyno that could be programmed to run a particular circuit would be required.

To find it on a circuit when the weather changes between sessions will be very hard.

I don't say that there is nothing in it...just difficult to find for Joe Bloggs.

We used to run on 220/5ltrs
