Hi everyone, can anyone help or advise me. We run unsealed W60 Comer engines. I recently fitted a new barrel, piston/rings, head, etc, (checking all dimensions, clearances and timing degrees) set High and low jets at one turn out, fuel mix at 20:1 and ran it in for 6 x 15 minute sessions at quite a slow pace (this was our first rebuild). Once run in we completed one race week end with +/- 2 hours run time. Engine seemed to go fine although my son was a bit slower than normal which I put down to an off day for him. After race meet I took the head off to check and the bore is very glazed up and is showing a high rate of wear. What have I done wrong – is it something to do with the actual rebuild or were we too gentle with the running in. Any advice would be appreciated as I’m a bit lost and concerned. Thanks
