I know it's a silly question Ken, but have you checked that the charger is a 12volt charger?

I had someone who gave me one to look at and the charger was 7 volts, I had to rewire it to give me 12v.

Adaptors can look very similar and will fit lots of things.

If you've got a wireless router and it's 12v, just try that if it will fit.

I can give you a couple of contacts if it is still unwell.

I can't do the new ones yet, still looking into it.
