If your driver managed to go slow and not oil up and then blast off and therefore mantain their advantage good on them. (assuming it wasn't before any pre-determinded line)
Providing this is a class where all is equal and you don't have dd and clutch people mixing then "well done that man".
Its a good racing art, perfectly legal, perfectly sporting - its a skill to do right.
I have used a similar tactic in the past with a less experienced but faster driver to give myself the lead as I knew the differnce wasn't enough for him to pass me, but if he had of jumped me I would have been second.
Bit like when in TKM we could adjust the low jet, I was taught how to do it properly, and then they changed the rules and you now have people pinching fuel pipes.
