Don't be fooled into thinking that Easykart is a cheap option.
It's a great championship, everyone is really friendly and helpful and the racing is very even.
However, because of the tight controls on kart parts and the fact that most things can only be bought through one supplier, you do pay a premium for parts.
Race fees are twice that of most club races (although the organisation is spot on) and travel expenses to attend all rounds will be very expensive no matter where you live in the UK because they are so spread out.
It's certainly more expensive than running a TKM at club level.
Having said that, it's a very cheap way of entering a NATIONAL championship and consistent big grids are gauranteed.
I quit Rotax to do Easykart because Rotax was too expensive and I preferred the Iame engine on an easykart.
However, I'm now looking at losing a stone in weight to do TKM clubbys instead.
