not quite true villla, there are good grids of tkm at 3 sisters and hooton park!
to answer your question alex...basically to buy a kart, racewear, tools, trailer, get your licence it will cost about £2000, that will get you a decent year old kart with engines.
THEN to run the kart for the season it will cost you about £2500-£3000 for a 10 round club series. that includes petrol, tyres, engine rebuilds, some spare parts, entry fees, testing etc. (this is for TKM)
you CAN do it for a lot less then that if you are only doing practice days rather than racing if you dont stress the engine as much plus you can probably buy a kart for a lot less, which while it wont be competative for racing, it will give you some fun for a while on practice days.
