Yup....

John is suggesting you only need to place a plastic pipe under the chassis (left-right) and let the kart balance on that pipe. Where it balances is the (one of the) CofGs of your kart!

However, that works fantastically well for getting the Weight Distribution once the seat has been fitted. Scales make it easier WHILE you are fitting the seat.
