100laps on one set of tyres. So how has the conclusion been drawn that they are consistent from set to set. I have no doubt they last a long time but if one driver has as set 5 tenths quicker it sort of destroys the point of being cheap.
Also why 2 sets of tyres, even on the stickiest tyres I've run last races on the practice days and new for race day, so one new set per meeting. It'd be great if you could get a set to last more then one meeting but without mandating tyre consumption people who can afford it will turn up with new.
Don't get me wrong i'm all for gearbox coming back at 3 sisters (someone gotta beat my laprecord on the dunlop sl4's from 2007). I just don't want it to be rushed into and lose the class again.
