I had a letter written on the schools headed paper listing all the S1 dates and a signature from the head teacher agreeing the absence. I wrote a letter to the head teacher asking for the time off and included this request at the same time. I have done the same this year. In my letter I referred to the competition as the British Championship not the super 1 championship, as this I think is a stupid description and means nothing to anyone outside of Karting.
