Sounds like you have a 2009 or older Dark knight. What tyres are you using? Set your top and bottom caster pils dot to dot as you say but should you need more front move the bottom pils BACk one hole. i.e. move the dot towards the rear.
Set the rear to 1395 and the front 22mm (2 large & 1 small spacer either side of the hub. Seat position is also very important. The tillett website has a good guide but I have a set of know measurements that I always use for initial set up.
Leave the 3rd bearing bolts loose & remove its grub screws. also remove one of the floor tray bolts from each side of the floor tray, the most rearward ones on each side.
