Some of the addditives used, especially in 2/ oils can cause the oil to start congeal when it is left for too long.

It causes it to lose its film strength when mixed with fuel and burnt.

This can cause a premature seizure.

You don't have to believe me but I've recently thrown some 2/ stock for that reason.

Your engine, but possibly my pitlane bull.
